During a visit to a cathedral in Staffordshire on Monday, the King was confronted by a individual who asked him about his brother's links with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.

The man demanded to know how long the monarch had been aware about his sibling's association with Epstein, and also raised doubts about whether he had asked the authorities to "conceal" for Prince Andrew.

Despite the protest, there were crowds of supporters and cheers for the King, who was in the region for an engagement.

The Duke of York's connections with Epstein have been under renewed focus in recent weeks. The royal, who gave up his titles earlier this month, has repeatedly denied any misconduct.

"For how long have you been aware about Prince Andrew and Epstein? Did you request the authorities to cover up for him?"

The monarch ignored the questions but carried on meeting supporters, some of whom chanted "Long live the King". One supporter can be overheard requesting him for a embrace.

A female bystander outside the cathedral was also heard telling the protester to "go away" and to "shut up".

Scandal Revived by Posthumous Publication

The controversy over the Duke of York's links to Jeffrey Epstein has been revived by misconduct allegations repeated in Ms. Giuffre's posthumously-published book.

In the memoir, Ms Giuffre alleges she had sexual encounters with the royal on multiple times, including once with Jeffrey Epstein and "eight other young girls"

Prince Andrew, who reached a out-of-court agreement with Ms Giuffre in 2022, has repeatedly denied any misconduct. In a previous interview, he told a news program he did not recall meeting her "ever", and that they "did not have any sort of intimate relations."

Fresh Questions Over Finances and Living Arrangements

But recently, fresh questions have been asked about how he is able to finance his lifestyle despite not being a active member of the royal family.

The revelation that he has only ever paid a token annual rent on his Royal Lodge has intensified the scrutiny over his housing situation - even though he made significant contributions initially, including for renovations.

The Liberal Democrats said he should be called in front of MPs to give testimony about his rental agreement of his residence.

But last Thursday, the government declined to give MPs time to discuss the royal's status or his home, despite increasing calls for scrutiny.

The royal household has not commented on whether the Duke of York might relocate of his current residence - or where he might reside.
